The Question

The question: "If you could turn back time what would you change?"
Has always seemed so strange
Why would I rearrange what has happened in my life
The strife that I have gone through has made me who
I am today
But then I think, “Our lives are linked”
Where I might rise another will sink
Because of me
And I wonder is it right to watch another’s light
That once was so bright fade if it means mine will shine
I am too selfish to compromise the prizes
I have won in life
But if I could change wrong to right and rewrite the mistakes
I have made that caused another to fall
I would make the call in a heartbeat
Cheat the game by remaining the same
Yet still ending differently
Better
A letter is the difference between living a life
And living a lie
I would try to toss aside my pride for the former
Sacrifice self for the health and happiness of others
So what is my answer to the question
If I could turn back time what would I change?
